| THE GREATEST GENERATION WWII MUSEUM |

This unique WWII museum displays a variety of fully dressed figures from all branches of the military combined with many artifacts from that era. Several of the life size figures are placed in their own special setting and will bring you back to a time when a whole nation came together to fight for freedom and democracy. One room is entirely dedicated to the women who served in WWII.
Museum is open Friday - Saturday - Sunday or by appointment. Coffeeshop is open Saturday and Sunday.

The 10th Annual Harpers Ferry Outdoor Festival & Tim Gavin Down River Race, hosted by the Harpers Ferry KOA Campground, located at 343 Campground Road, Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008.
What began as a down river race to honor the memory of dear friend and avid paddler, Tim Gavin, has now become one of the areas most anticipated festivals. Tim Gavin was an outdoor recreation enthusiast and supporter of preserving our local natural resources for future generations, it is in honor of his of his legacy that we now hold our annual Harpers Ferry Outdoor Festival & Tim Gavin Down River Race.
The festival will feature live entertainment, a whitewater marketplace, down river race, activities and games for the kids, guide Olympics, and a silent auction (where you can pick up some awesome outdoor gear).
The Harpers Ferry Outdoor Festival is a critical fundraiser for the preservation and protection of local and other threatened streams and rivers in West Virginia. All proceeds from the festival go to Friends of the Potomac, Friends of the Cheat, Friends of the Black Water, and the West Virginia Rivers Coalition.

SEVMC will host our second annual all makes and models Spring Show. Because of the turn-out to last spring’s Show, the show has to move to the North East Kohl’s parking lot at Pembroke Mall on the corner of Jeanne St and Constitution Dr. Pre-registration will be $20 first entry $15 each additional entry per owner by May 12 2008.
Day of show registration will begin at 9:00 am and end at noon, $25 first entry $20 each additional entry per owner, please bring 2 cans of pet food in addition to your registration fee.
Judging will begin on vehicles no later than 1:00 pm or as soon as participants are ready.
Goodie bag and dash plaque to first 100 vehicles registered. Breakfast burritos will be on sale during registration. All day long games, raffles and music. 3:00pm presentation of Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class. Best in Show, Best Paint, Best Engine, Youngest/Oldest Driver, Club Participation, Furthest Distance traveled, SEVMC display People’s choice Award and 50/50 drawing.
